The goal this year is 700 thousand dollars as JDRF is working to create a world without Type One Diabetes. Let's all work towards a cure!
One Walk is a day when families and friends of people with T1D to meet and share their stories. This year's Youth Ambassador for Southeastern Wisconsin is Maggie Miller. She and her family will be on hand to answer your questions about how the family is coping and dealing with Maggie's Type 1. She is the sweetest little girl and extremely knowledgeable about her situation.
We need events like this if we are going to find a cure because it is only with money for research and development will we be able to beat this illness.
The goal is big but so are your hearts. Only in a community like Southeastern WI would we be able to raise that kind of money in one day. The people of this area are more than generous with their time and their cash.
So come on out to the One Walk Milwaukee. Remember it's Saturday August 26th at Greenfield Park. Registration on the day is easy but once again why wait. Do it now!! See you there!!!
