The Brew City needs its next generation of public defenders, and Milwaukee's My24 is helping spread the word. My24 will air a special prime time edition of its community focused, weekly public affairs program Our Issues Milwaukee on Friday, February 22 at 9:00pm.
Host Andrea Williams will welcome special guests Milwaukee Police Department Chief Alfonso Morales and Fire and Police Commission Executive Director La Keisha Butler to discuss the upcoming recruitment period for Milwaukee Police Officers.
The Fire and Police Commission of the City of Milwaukee will soon be accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. In an effort to both spread the word regarding the upcoming recruitment and educate the general public on what it takes to become a Police Officer, Chief Morales and Director Butler will appear to discuss a wide range of topics including: testing, training, and timing for hiring of this very important position.
The Milwaukee Police Department employs nearly 2,000 sworn officers devoted to serving and protecting the residents of the city. The Commission’s recruitment efforts are planned to take place February 22 – March 18, 2019.
