If there is one habit we can do to give us a leg up on aging it is having an active fitness plan. No matter what age you are you can always increase muscle mass and strength which is so valuable for our bodies down the road.

Research shows that continued lack of movement or a sedentary lifestyle creates loss of muscle. Strength is needed to stay balanced and promote mobility.

Even the lightest of exercise or movement can increase circulation as we age. It’s all about increasing levels of physical activity and adding more resistance as you gain endurance.

A study done on 91-96 year olds showed a significant improvement in balance and mobility after only 12 weeks of strength training.

So to not lose your balance, try coming of age and get moving today.
