PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) - It's a fishing trip they will never forget!

Jack Moran told Channel 3 News he, his wife, and his friend David Smith caught a 12-foot tiger shark at Fort Pickens in Pensacola, Florida, on Friday.

He says he and Smith had no idea the "monster" was lurking in the Pensacola Bay.

Moran said it took them roughly 90 minutes to land the shark and safely release it after they "snapped a few pictures, of course."

In a video posted to YouTube, he sends a big shout-out to the bystanders who helped them safely pull the shark to shore.
