Greg Koch

Guitarist Greg Koch is a versatile musician who has lent his talents to numerous TV and radio ads, contributed to guitar publications, and served as a clinician for the Fender guitar company -- in addition to making his own records. Intrigued by the great Jimi Hendrix at an early age, Koch first picked up a guitar at the age of 12 -- soon playing along to songs he heard on records, radio, and TV. Eventually becoming well-versed in numerous musical styles (rock, blues, country, jazz, etc.), Koch formed Greg Koch & the Tone Controls, becoming quite an attraction in the band's hometown of Milwaukee. During the late '90s, Koch issued such albums as 1998's Defenestrator and 2000's Past and Present, before signing to Steve Vai's label, Favored Nations, and issuing The Grip in 2001.

Koch has released several popular guitar method books and instructional DVDs for the Hal Leonard Corporation, including one on Koch’s own particular take on guitar called “Guitar Gristle”.

The talented musician will share his talents with Southridge Mall during an on stage interview and acoustic jam session at the Be Well Milwaukee Expo -- don't miss it!
