It was another successful night for Candy Cane Lane in West Allis. The annual fund raiser supports the MACC(Midwest Athletes of Childhood Cancer) Fund of Milwaukee. Last night hundreds of residents came out to drive through the blocks long celebration of lights. Every house is different and every house is decorated.
Hundreds of people came out to donate and this grass roots operation hit a milestone last night. In just over 2 weeks the fundraiser has raised over $50,000 for MACC. It's the largest amount raised by the community in the least amount of time and CW18 was there.
I helped raise money along with a group from ComedySportz Milwaukee. Together we greeted each and every car and as you can see not one person was left out. We had candy for the kids and treats for the pups. It was a great night filled with the holiday spirit.
Candy Cane Lane runs until December 26th and it is open on Christmas Day for those of you needing a little extra holiday spirit. The hours are 6-10 pm weeknights and 5-10 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Follow the signs and the lights to 96th to 92nd Street...Montana Ave to Oklahoma Avenue. Load up the car and show the MACC fund you care.
