CW18's Midseason Primetime Slate includes New Series IN THE DARK & return of Fan Favorites

CW18's primetime lineup will see finales and premieres this March and April.

We here at CW18 don't want you to feel "left in the dark" about all of the coming changes to the primetime lineup. A few of the fall series are nearing the end of their season runs, making way for a new series debut and the return of numerous fan favorite, veteran series this spring.

The Pierce family's fight to clean up the streets of Freeland will conclude for the second season as BLACK LIGHTNING wraps on Monday, March 18th at 8pm. The Waverider returns with its rag-tag crew as DC's LEGENDS OF TOMORROW begins the final stretch of its fourth season Monday, April 1st at 7pm, leading into a nod to tricksters with PENN & TELLER: APRIL FOOL US DAY 2019 at 8pm. Original episodes of ARROW save Star City from the new time period of 8pm when they return starting Monday, April 15th.

Spencer James and his Beverly teammates will take a knee when the first season of football drama ALL AMERICAN concludes Wednesday, March 20th at 8pm, making way for the return of critical favorite JANE THE VIRGIN on March 27th. Golden Globe Winner Gina Rodriguez and the rest of the cast look to end the zany telenovela on a high note as the upcoming fifth season was previously confirmed to be the show's last.

The Salvatore School lets out for the summer when the season one finale of LEGACIES airs March 28th at 8pm. One week later, the new series IN THE DARK debuts at 8pm after an all-new episode of SUPERNATURAL on Thursday, April 4th. It stars Perry Mattfeld as a young, blind woman with a chip on her shoulder who uses a shocking tragedy to find a purpose.

IN THE DARK tells the story of Murphy -- a hard-living, hard-drinking, disaffected 20-something with a penchant for cigarettes and casual sex. She's also blind. Murphy lives with her understanding roommate, Jess, and her guide dog, Pretzel, whose presence she resents. Her parents run a guide dog school, hoping it will give Murphy a job with some purpose, but so far it's just a place where she sleeps off her hangovers, much to the particular chagrin of the school administrator. Murphy's closest friend is a teenager named Tyson, whose kindness and intelligence are wasted on dealing drugs on the streets for his older cousin. Murphy's life comes crashing down when, while out for a walk with Pretzel, she stumbles upon Tyson's lifeless body in the alley outside her apartment. Murphy is devastated and only resists spiraling downward further in order to learn what happened to Tyson. With the help of Jess -- and Pretzel -- she is determined to find the truth...even if it means she had to sober up a little.

April 5th brings a two-hour special event final bow for the critically acclaimed series CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND. Golden Globe Winner Rachel Bloom and the talented cast will bring the fourth and final season to a close at 7pm, celebrating the catalog of over 150 original songs it created during its run with "Yes, It's Really Us Singing: The Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Concert Special" at 8pm. Building on the momentum of the sold-out success of the CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND Live Tour, this one-of-a-kind special event will be equal parts concert special, rock concert and musical revue.

Getting a promotion from CW Seed, The CW Network's digital network, the second season of Streamy Award-Winning half hour musical comedy I SHIP IT will air at 8pm after all-new editions of DYNASTY staring Friday, April 19th. The series focuses on Ella -- a fangirl and aspiring writer. While working at a boutique shipping agency, Ella writes fanfiction for her favorite TV show, Superstition, and dreams of one day making her fantasies a reality. One fateful day, Ella’s actress friend Sasha places a flower delivery order to the showrunner of Superstition and Ella seizes the opportunity to not only make the delivery but to visit the set of her favorite show. Ella throws caution to the wind and quits her job to become a writer’s PA on Superstition, and her fangirl fantasies being to collide with reality in unexpected ways, in both her creative life and love life.

One week after the season one finale of new entry ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO on April 23rd, the Earth castaways of THE 100 crash land for season six on Tuesday, April 30th at 8pm. Two nights later at 7pm, Rose McIver and the cast of iZOMBiE return for the fifth and final season premiere of the cult favorite zom-com-rom-dram series May 2nd, which takes over SUPERNATURAL's timeslot after its season 14 finale one week prior on April 25th.

It's going to be an epic spring of all-new mysteries, battles, hook-ups, and more! Defy the monotony and don't miss a moment of CW18 primetime!
