Destiny will be rewritten starting Sunday, December 9th during the epic ELSEWORLDS DC Crossover Event on CW18!
The epic ELSEWORLDS event will span three nights over three shows, featuring an Arrowverse crossover between THE FLASH, ARROW, and SUPERGIRL. When Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) wake up one morning to realize they've swapped bodies with each other, the two set off to find out what disturbed the timeline and altered reality. Along the way, they enlist the help of their friend and ally, Kara Zor-El/Danvers (Melissa Benoist), on Earth-38 and cross paths with Clark Kent aka Superman, Lois Lane, and the mysterious Kate Kane aka Batwoman. The heroes will find themselves facing new, powerful threats and uniting to engage in the battle of their lives to save their homes and reality as they know it.
As seen as post credits stinger at the conclusion of this week's editions of SUPERGIRL, ARROW, and THE FLASH, the super squad will have their hands full as they face another first time in live action character, The Monitor (played by Designated Survivor's LaMonica Garrett) -- an extraterrestrial of immense power who oversees the DC Multiverse. **POST CREDITS SPOILER ALERT** The Monitor is introduced standing over a battle field of fallen heroes on Earth-90, with a beaten '90s Flash (original 1990s series star John Wesley Shipp) running for his life.
Anticipation for 2018's edition of the annual event has been building steadily since May, when it was announced that for the first time in its seven year history, the Arrowverse would formally visit Gotham City. The excitement grew to a fervor with the news that a live action portrayal of Batwoman would grace the screen for the first time ever during the crossover (previously portrayed by Chuck & The Handmaid's Tale actress Yvonne Strahovski in 2016 animated film Batman: Bad Blood). The appearance serves as an introduction to the character who has her own potential series in development for The CW's 2019-20 Slate of Programming. Fan Favorite actress Ruby Rose (of Orange Is the New Black, Pitch Perfect 3, and The Meg fame) will portray DC superhero Kate Kane, Bruce Wayne's heiress cousin who, inspired by Batman, puts her wealth and skills to use, emerging from the shadows to protect her beloved city.
ELSEWORLDS also marks the return of Kara Zor-El's super-cousin, Superman and his alter-ego Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin). The Man of Steel was introduced to the Arrowverse during season two of SUPERGIRL, but hasn't been seen since. Our super trio will travel to recruit Clark on the Kent Farm (which is the same filming location as The CW's O-G Kent Farm from SMALLVILLE's 10-year run). Joining the adventure for the first time will be the Arrowverse's take on intrepid reporter Lois Lane, played by Grimm star Elizabeth Tulloch.
